Tire Chains

Trac-Grabber is a great compliment to tire chains and are actually designed for getting a vehicle unstuck.

Tire chains are the most common tire accessory for driving in cold weather winter conditions where it is likely that your tires could lose traction.  In some areas they are required at times and in other areas, however, they could be outlawed.  While tire chains do provide excellent traction on a slippery surface they are not ideal for getting a vehicle unstuck and they are very difficult to install on the tires once a vehicle is already stuck.

Trac-Grabbers are a great compliment to tire chains and are actually designed for getting a vehicle unstuck.  Trac-Grabbers are easily installed on each drive wheel and the installation only takes about 30 seconds per wheel. With the Trac-Grabbers installed, the driver then simply gives the vehicle a little gas which will cause the wheels to slowly spin to the point where the Trac-Grabbers engage.  Once engaged, just apply a bit more gas and the Trac-Grabbers will lift and move the vehicle back to stable terrain under the vehicle’s own power.  Once back on stable terrain the Trac-Grabbers are removed and stowed for the next time they are needed.

Remember, tire chains are great for "driving" in cold weather winter conditions but Trac-Grabbers are the best vehicle recovery gear for getting your vehicle unstuck.  For more information on the patented Trac-Grabber recovery gear click here.
